Hello! My name is Ms. Fischer and I am excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher this year. I love teaching these little ones and watching them grow academically, socially and spiritually. It is such a rewarding experience! I wanted to take a moment and give you a little bit of information about me. I am originally from Reno, Nevada. My mom, dad, two brothers, two dogs and brand new nephew are still there and I visit every chance I get. I am a graduate of the University of Arizona. I studied elementary education and received a bachelor’s degree and teaching credential through this amazing education program. I also received a minor in Spanish after studying abroad in beautiful San Sebastian, Spain. Upon finishing by undergraduate degree, I relocated to San Diego, and have loved it ever since. I am a mountain girl at heart. My family is very active, and growing up with brothers, I have fallen in love with anything that has to do with the outdoors. I love hiking, camping, fishing, running, playing golf, volleyball, riding bikes, snowboarding and anything else that is outside =). I also practice yoga daily. This will be my fourth year teaching kindergarten. I previously taught at Saint Vincent’s School and Sage Canyon Elementary in Del Mar. I look forward to a fabulous year together. It is sure to be filled with incredible memories. Your child will grow so much this year it will amaze you! My goal for the students in my class is that each of them feels loved and nurtured while they are a part of the kindergarten family here at St. Rita’s School. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me.
