Preschool Introduction

St. Rita’s Preschool is committed to the spiritual, intellectual, social and physical development of each child.  In a caring and positive atmosphere, we create a warm and happy place for your preschooler to learn.  As we bridge the time between home and school, we guide children to maintain a good self-image while building social skills in a school setting.

Sensory, motor, perceptual and language skills are introduced through materials and activities which are both child-centered and teacher-directed.  Based on the theory that children learn through play, classroom routines encourage active involvement.  Schedules are designed to balance structure and free choice as well as active and quiet times.

St. Rita’s Preschool provides a religion program that promotes cultural diversity and expresses love for all God’s children.  Christian values are integrated daily into the learning process.  We build trust among children, parents, and educators through parent involvement.  We strive for openness, joy and cooperation in Christian living.

St. Rita’s Preschool is non-discriminatory in its policies.  No one shall be excluded from enrollment or employment because of race, color, or ethnic origin.

Enrollment is open to all preschool-age children of the community.  Children must be at least three years of age by September 1, and completely toilet-trained.  We accept children up to the age of five. The Preschool serves families in the community who subscribe to the school’s philosophy and agree to abide by the policies and regulations of the school.
